Role and Compensation
Trade Counter Assistant / Driver
Hours:
44 per week, 7am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday, 8am - 12pm on a Saturday rota
Salary: £27,936 basic salary per year
Bonus/OTE:
Realistic total earning potential of up to £31,536 per year

- Hands‑on, lead‑by‑example tasks working closely with the Branch Manager and Supervisor in day‑to‑day operations
- Responsible for trade counter sales to meet sales targets, confidently communicating product knowledge to customers
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to both new and existing customers
- Pick, load and deliver products to customers using Eurocell’s 3.5‑tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans
- Plan routes, drive safely, and keep the company vehicle clean
- Support the Branch Manager with timely and complete actions and activities
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, company policies and procedures
- Maintain excellence in customer service, operational standards and branch sales targets
- Develop and maintain positive customer relationships to support sales targets
- Assist with delivery of branch operations
- Provide support to branch colleagues as needed
- Maintain branch standards—including warehouse and stock management, front‑of‑house cleanliness and point of sale
- Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business targets
- Hands‑on, customer‑focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and proactively engage with potential prospects
- Commercial mindset to drive sales and maximise margins while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and use own initiative
- Confident IT user with experience of MS Office and industry standard software such as SAP
- Full and valid driving licence essential; FLT licence an advantage
- Previous branch stock‑take experience an advantage
- Comfortable working in a small team and occasionally alone
- Experience in a similar role ideally in a trade/builders merchant/retail, glazing or uPVC environment an advantage
