Overview

Team Member Position. Contracted hours:
Various 16 or 24 hours per week. Lochrin Rooftop Bar – Edinburgh. We are looking for crew for our Lochrin Rooftop bar located on the top level of the Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge Hotel. The venue offers relaxed, upmarket service with outdoor terrace seating and a focus on quality drinks and food pairing with our Gusty Scran boards and local produce.

Open to the Public and for Private hire. You’ll be passionate about food, drinks, and providing great service in a fast-paced, upmarket setting. We are seeking proactive and friendly personalities to join a close-knit team.

Responsibilities
  • Serving guests and creating positive experiences
  • Manage all bills and payments correctly
  • Prepare food, clean, tidy, restock, take deliveries, and organize BOH areas
  • Follow all food safety, licensing and health and safety policies to work safely
  • Cook and prepare meals to standard
  • Prepare exceptional cocktails to standard
  • Use effective sales skills to upsell products and services
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Support other team members and management
  • Promote and support the bar and wider hotel
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 kg without assistance
We Are Looking For
  • Passion for food and drinks
  • Good with people and enjoy chatting with guests
  • Skilled multitasker who can balance challenging work with great service
  • Know being relaxed is different from being lazy
  • Clear communicator fluent in English (other languages a plus)
Useful Experience
  • Experience with in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros
  • Knowledge of food safety and licensing laws
  • Knowledge of a wide range of drinks
  • Cocktail making experience
  • Basic food preparation experience
