General Assistant

dnata Catering UK are actively seeking seasonal General Assistants to join our successful and vibrant team at Edinburgh Airport. As a General Assistant you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our catering and goods arrive with our airline customers on time in line with various scheduling requirements.

As a General Assistant you will be working in one of the following areas within our business:

• Preparing and plating food
• Handling of packed food goods
• Packing amenity kits and flight condiments

• Stacking shelves
• Rotation of stock
• Re-ordering of dry stock
• Wash: general cleaning, waste removal, washing airline equipment to industry standards
• Search and Seal: inspecting goods ensuring there is no prohibited items, checking stock for any damages, completion of paperwork

Start dates from February. Duties may include but are not limited to the above.

• Must be able to handle pork and alcohol products
• Must be prepared to stand for long periods of time and have good mobility
• Must be prepared to work in a chilled environment
• Must have a basic understanding of English
