Grade UE05: £29,588 - £33,951 per annum. CMVM / Centre for Clinical Brain Sciences. Full-time: 35 hours per week. Fixed-term: 24 months.
The Graduate Research Practitioner post at the Anne Rowling Regenerative Neurology Clinic offers an opportunity to launch a career in clinical research. You will work within a world-class, multi-disciplinary team to support research studies in neurological conditions, and develop experience in recruitment, assessments, data management, and governance of clinical trials.
The post will start in August 2026 and is for graduates who completed an undergraduate degree within the last two years. This two-year role is designed as a springboard for pursuing careers in clinical research, trial management, or further study (e.g., medical degree or PhD). The post is full-time at the Anne Rowling Clinic, Edinburgh Bio Quarter, and is not suitable for hybrid/off-campus working.
PVG will be required for this post. Some experience of clinical research or care of chronically neurologically disabled adults is desirable. The University emphasises a welcoming culture with opportunities for professional development and flexible working policies where possible.
Responsibilities- Launch your career in clinical research by directly supporting research studies involving people with neurological conditions.
- Recruit participants in accordance with study protocols and perform assessments as required.
- Assist with data management and ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to contribute to high-quality research and patient care.
- Graduated with an undergraduate degree within the last two years (start August 2026).
- Some experience of clinical research or care of chronically neurologically disabled adults is desirable.
- Willingness to undergo PVG checks and adhere to patient-facing responsibilities.
- Full-time role (35 hours per week) at the Anne Rowling Clinic, Edinburgh Bio Quarter.
- Fixed-term contract for 24 months.
