Grade UE07: £41,064 – £48,822 per annum pro-rata if part‑time

The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to uncovering and demonstrating the impact of the world leading research undertaken at the University of Edinburgh. Working within a team of research impact and engagement professionals based in the central research office, you will be associated with specific disciplinary areas mainly within the College of Science and Engineering. You will work with academic and professional services colleagues to identify, evidence and develop impact from research, creating compelling narratives for the Research Excellence Framework and beyond.
You will contribute to a vibrant and collegiate research culture and environment, learning from and sharing good practice with colleagues across the University.
- Identify, evidence and develop impact from research within selected disciplinary areas.
- Create compelling narratives for the Research Excellence Framework and related outputs.
- Work collaboratively with academic and professional services colleagues at all levels.
- Support a vibrant research culture and share good practice across the University.
- Maintain flexible working patterns and adhere to hybrid working policy, with at least 50% on‑campus attendance.
- A broad understanding of the research disciplines within Science and Engineering.
- Experience of working in partnership with professional services and academic colleagues at all levels of seniority, engendering a culture of open dialogue and constructive challenge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex and/or technical concepts to non‑expert audiences.
- Ability to adapt to different ways of working across varied disciplines.
