Location: City of Edinburgh

We have an exciting opportunity for a Local Marketing Executive to join our Customer team based in our Central Support Office in Lasswade on a temp ongoing basis. This is a varied customer‑focussed role leading our local marketing activity across a range of campaigns, as well as providing wider marketing support. This includes promoting store refurbishments and the rollout of new in‑store concepts, as well as helping produce marketing collateral, supporting local PR & events, delivering campaign activations in‑store and campaign reporting and evaluation.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop and deliver fully integrated, multi‑channel, paid, owned & earned local marketing campaigns to support our store development programme & new retail concept roll outs.
  • Work with a range of external agencies to develop, manage and deliver briefings & timelines for campaign activity including creative asset production, media planning, door drop delivery, digital screen animations and in‑house radio production, ensuring all are delivered as part of the plan, and managing agency relationships throughout.
  • Develop, manage & deliver in‑house briefings & timelines to ensure point of sale, website, digital marketing, local PR & event activities are delivered as part of the plan.
  • Work closely with the Campaign Marketing Manager on delivering the best mix of channels, formats, messaging & assets to support the campaign objectives.
  • Work closely with the PR Manager & Events Manager on delivering local store re‑launch events and related activities, and any post‑launch activity required.
  • Ensure key customer and commercial messages are tailored to the core target audience and local area/offering and are communicated in a way that has cut through and drives footfall.
  • Monitor campaigns to optimise spend and activity throughout, and lead on the reporting and evaluation of campaigns.
  • Brief and deliver customer research & insights pre and post store development campaigns to monitor customer feedback and the impact on key customer metrics and in‑store experience.
  • Manage the creative and print sign off process, as well as campaign budgets, the raising of POs and the overall finance sign off process.
  • Produce clear and concise store briefing communications for all local marketing campaigns.
  • Co‑ordinate local marketing support for in‑store concession partners within agreed parameters.
  • Support national campaign, PR and event delivery as required.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring that brand guidelines and tone of voice are always on brand.
Measures of Success
  • You have delivered impactful and engaging customer communications that deliver increased footfall results.
  • More widely these campaigns also drive web traffic, social engagement and budgeted sales uplifts.
  • Campaign activity is fully integrated across all marketing channels as well as in‑store channels through POS, digital screens & instore radio.
  • In‑house wider marketing teams are clear on what their role is in delivering the local marketing plan and are able to do this on time and on budget.
  • Stores are able to execute in‑store requirements such as POS, and any other marketing activities with ease and consistency, in line with the set up guides given.
  • Campaigns are delivered on time and to budget.
