About the role:This position is responsible for the production and baking of biscuits. Duties may include moulding, baking, chocolate processing, and depositing marshmallow, toffee, and jam.
Key responsibilities:- Review the production schedule/oven profile and the relevant recipe sheets.
- Ensure the correct recipe is selected and followed using the touchscreen system and by preparing all required ingredients.
- Set up and operate the rotary moulder and baking oven, making any necessary adjustments to maintain required standards and specifications, and report any faults.
- Set up and operate the chocolate enrober and chocolate cooler, adjusting settings as needed to meet standards/specifications and reporting any faults.
- Carry out regular product checks to identify any deviations from required standards or specifications.
- Ensure colour standards and control sheets are reviewed, recorded, and accurate.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working area at all times and ensure plant equipment is kept clean.
- Production experience within a bakery environment is preferred but not essential (full training provided).
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills, including both written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and use initiative.
- Ability to lift up to 15kg.
- Willingness to work in a food manufacturing environment where hygiene and safety standards are essential.
- Full training will be provided.
- Applicants must be on or over the age of 18.
- Ability to evidence full right to work within the UK (student applicants must, be able to demonstrate this, as paid induction requires full 40 hours induction training).
- Numerate, literate (written and oral communication) and the ability to work in a fast-paced people focused, team and or individual environments.
- Understand and be comfortable working within a food manufacturing environment where hygiene principles are exceptionally important. (Training provided).
