Title: SENIOR FACILITIES MANAGER - FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

Location: EDINBURGH

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Facilities Manager to join the team at Galliford Try within our Facilities Management Business.

Ideally, you will be based in or around Edinburgh area for this role.

  • Manage the delivery of key services to the project facilities in respect of financial, procedural and operational obligations via GTFM staff and approved sub-contractors, including recording the identification of shortfalls and instigating improvements
  • Develop, manage and regularly review the Planned Preventative Maintenance, to drive closure within month
  • Develop an understanding of the project contracts and processes and ensure these are adhered to at all times
  • Manage meetings with representatives of the Client and relevant user groups as required and directed by the Facilities Manager and produce effective, timely and relevant communication
  • Manage formal and informal meetings with GTFM specialist sub-contractors engaged in the delivery of the Services to include the production of records related to such meetings
  • Manage a team of Facilities Managers, carrying out all related HR functions including recruitment, personal development reviews and disciplinary processes
  • Develop and manage a programme of Health & Safety inspections across facilities and services and participate in scheduled site inspections, ensuring that all H&S Regulations and GT Health & Safety Standards are adhered to at all times
  • Develop and maintain processes in conjunction with the Quantity Surveyor in the preparation, programming and delivery of Small Works, Major Variations and Lifecycle Plans from inception to completion
  • Participate in all internal and external audits identified by GTFM the Client or external parties
About You:
  • Excellent commercial awareness in PFI, PPP, Hub and contracts.
  • Strong paymech knowledge
  • AP Experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work and communicate with stakeholders
  • Strong management and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate alignment and work in line with the Galliford Try values - Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration
  • Computer literate with knowledge/experience of Microsoft suite, i.e., outlook, word, excel and Power Point
  • Relevant degree is desirable but not essential
  • Able to demonstrate significant managerial experience in Facilities Management or related field
