Hours:
40 per week - 6am-2.30pm and 8am-4.30pm
Rate: £20.19-£20.67 per hour
About your new companyMy client, a market leading company who have been in business for over 35 years, are looking for a Vehicle Technician to join their team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate must have a Level 3 Qualification in either HGV, LCV or PSV and have experience of repairing and maintaining large vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and maintain vehicles and plant as directed by the Workshop Supervisor
- Carry out inspections, diagnostics, brake and smoke tests
- Accurately complete job cards and inspection reports using the tablet system
- Identify and report required work, parts, defects and vehicle off-road (VOR) issues
- Ensure correct handling, labelling and storage of parts and tooling
- Comply with all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental procedures
- Strong mechanical or motor vehicle knowledge
- Good communication, numeracy and diagnostic skills
- Customer-focused and quality-driven
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence (essential)
- Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence (desirable, not essential)
