NHS Lothian Staff Bank Supplementary Staffing Service is looking for a Vietnamese interpreter. Interpreters (Band
4) are paid at £23.20 per hour;
Qualified Interpreters (Band
6) at £28.32 per hour. Applicants must state the language(s) they are applying for in response to question 3. The Supplementary Staffing Service enables flexible working via a range of jobs that can be booked online or by phone. We seek individuals committed to booked jobs, able to provide exceptional patient care and consistently demonstrate and deliver the values of the organisation.

• Work allocated on an "as and when required" basis with flexible shift patterns.
• No guaranteed fixed hours per week; service is demand‑led.
• Interpreters are paid for a minimum of one hour, with 15‑minute increments thereafter.
• Travel time is paid between jobs if there is a gap of 60 minutes or less; travel to/from first and last appointment is not paid.
• Travel expenses paid as if starting from base at Comely Bank Centre.

• Proficiency in Vietnamese and ability to interpret.
• Minimum of three years previous employment; provide details for at least two referees, including current or most recent employers.
• All successful candidates will need to complete an online mandatory Induction Programme.
