Role Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused and commercially aware Solutions Consultant to support our print management sales team.

This is a pre-sales and project delivery role, responsible for presenting and demonstrating print management software solutions,

supporting tender submissions, providing accurate solution quotes, and managing smaller rollout projects of hardware and software installations.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of managed print services (MPS) and print management software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Account Managers in customer-facing engagements to position print management software solutions.
  • Deliver engaging, tailored software demonstrations to prospective customers.
  • Clearly articulate the business benefits of the solution, including cost savings, security, compliance, sustainability, and workflow optimisation.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to understand client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise during the sales cycle to support closing opportunities.
Solution Design & Quoting
  • Design print management software solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Provide the sales team with accurate pricing for:
  • Software licensing
  • Implementation and installation services
  • Configuration and training time required
  • Support the creation of statements of work (SOWs) where required.
  • Complete tender and framework responses relating to print management solutions.
  • Prepare technical documentation, solution descriptions, and compliance responses.
  • Ensure submissions clearly communicate value, differentiation, and technical capability.
  • Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to meet submission deadlines.
Project Management (Small Rollouts)
  • Project manage smaller-scale rollouts of print management software and associated hardware.
  • Coordinate with engineers, logistics, and customer IT teams.
  • Oversee installation timelines, testing, and go-live activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to customer satisfaction.
  • Provide post-installation handover documentation where required.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience in print management, managed print services (MPS), or document management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of print management software platforms (e.g., Paper Cut, SafeQ, uniFLOW, Equitrac, or similar).
  • Ability to translate technical features into clear business benefits.
  • Experience responding to tenders and writing technical proposals.
  • Strong commercial awareness and pricing understanding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales, technical, and operations teams.
  • Experience managing small IT or infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of print hardware and multifunctional devices (MFDs).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft environments (AD, Azure AD, M365).
  • Prince2, Agile, or similar project management certification (desirable but not essential).
