Partnering closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Services, the Principal Solution Architect translates complex business challenges into innovative, scalable solutions powered by Infor’s industry cloud platforms. This is a senior‑level, customer‑facing role requiring deep industry expertise, architectural credibility, and executive presence.

A Day in the Life Typically Includes
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to C‑level executives and senior IT leadership within enterprise customer organizations.
  • Leading complex pre‑sales engagements, shaping end‑to‑end solution strategy and architecture in partnership with Sales and Solution Consulting teams.
  • Architecting scalable, secure, and future‑ready solutions aligned with Infor’s industry cloud strategy and customers’ transformation objectives.
  • Leading tailored solution demonstrations, proofs of concept, and executive workshops focused on business value realization.
  • Providing architectural governance and strategic oversight throughout implementation and delivery phases to ensure alignment with original design principles.
  • Supporting delivery teams in translating solution vision into executable enterprise architecture.
  • Incorporating security, compliance, and regulatory considerations (e.g., role‑based access control, segregation of duties, SOX/SOC principles) into solution design.
  • Collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to provide field feedback and influence roadmap direction.
  • Developing reusable solution assets, reference architectures, and thought leadership content.
  • Mentoring junior architects and contributing to knowledge‑sharing across the global Solution Architecture community.
Core Profile
  • Brings strong industry expertise, with Distribution experience highly preferred, including exposure to equipment and rental business models.
  • Demonstrates the ability to articulate business value and transformation impact, not just technical architecture.
  • Is comfortable operating in high‑pressure, complex enterprise sales environments.
  • Exhibits executive presence, professional maturity, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Thrives in matrixed, global teams and influences across functions.
Basic Qualifications
  • Significant experience in enterprise architecture, solution consulting, or technical pre‑sales roles.
  • Proven experience architecting complex enterprise solutions in cloud environments.
  • Experience as an architect within one or more industries:
    Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, or Equipment/Rental.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills, engaging both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience contributing to or leading large‑scale transformation initiatives.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise security fundamentals and compliance considerations within solution design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • TOGAF certification (or equivalent enterprise architecture framework experience) – strongly preferred, particularly at Principal level.
  • ITIL certification or strong working knowledge of IT service management principles.
  • Experience working within structured ERP implementation and delivery methodologies.
  • Practical experience working in Agile enterprise environments.
  • Global experience and ability to work effectively within diverse, matrixed organizations.
