JOB TITLE: Technology Audit Analyst

SALARY: £48,987 - £59,873

LOCATION(S): Edinburgh & Bristol

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our hub locations.

About this opportunity

As a Technology Auditor, you will assess run and change controls across various technologies, including applications, legacy and cloud infrastructure, cyber and operational resilience, as well as data.

You’ll support in the delivery of high-quality audits. Own the design and operational evaluation and testing of key controls. Apply proficient knowledge and application of audit methodology and assigned risk areas.

You’ll act as a proactive team member, with a growth mindset, positively contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the audit. Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of GA&CI through a strategic and integrated audit focus, collaboration and agile delivery methods.

Day to day, you will:
  • Contribute to the audit plan, delivering specified outcomes and providing support by working as directed within the Audit Team.
  • Support control testing and can identify areas of concern, articulating the potential challenge.
  • Help senior colleagues and build meaningful stakeholder relationships.
  • Conduct research considering multiple perspectives and bring the outside in to enable analysis of key themes and external trends.
  • Suggest improvements in current compliance processes by being bold.
  • Actively role model the Group values and behaviours.
  • Proactively identify, address and drive personal development opportunities and create a positive learning culture based on effective coaching.
  • Freely share insight and timely, direct, effective feedback that contributes to the success of the delivery plan and leaves a positive, sustainable impact on the function.

What you’ll need:
  • The ability to analyse, understand and communicate data and AI‑driven insights and to use data, automation and AI to drive effective audit outcomes.
  • Understands AI concepts such as GenAI, supervised and unsupervised machine learning.
  • Can identify opportunities to use data and AI in audit.
  • Can deliver analytics using Excel and Power BI.
  • Can use Copilot to support audit work, including testing.
Experience of at least one of these:
  • Applications & Controls: Testing IT automated business controls, as well as IT general controls across critical systems.
  • Infrastructure (including Cloud): Testing controls over the security, resilience and configuration of critical technology infrastructure, including mainframe environments, virtualised platforms, and public cloud services (such as AWS, Azure, and GCP).
  • Cyber Security and Resilience: Testing controls that support the Group’s cyber and operational resilience control frameworks.
  • Change & Transformation: Ability to provide change assurance over major technology transformation initiatives delivered using a Scaled Agile aligned framework, including reviewing controls embedded in the delivery lifecycle.
  • Data Risk: Testing controls supporting Data quality, completeness and integrity.
