The Details:
Your day-to-day will include:
Leadership & Culture
Build, lead, and develop a personable, genuine, and committed Housekeeping team.
Hold team members accountable to operating procedures, service standards, and cultural values through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
Lead daily openings and team briefings, ensuring clear communication, motivation, and operational readiness.
Act as an ambassador for the Virgin Tone of Voice, culture, and brand standards, embedding them into every aspect of the Housekeeping operation.
Training & Development
Serve as Head of Training for the Housekeeping department.
Design and deliver weekly training topics covering service, standards, safety, and technical skills.
Ensure all team members are fully trained on job-specific responsibilities and refreshed regularly.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the department
Operations & Standards
Maintain expert knowledge of all housekeeping procedures, policies, and technical systems, and ensure full team compliance.
Assign daily work schedules to room attendants and supervisors, ensuring optimal coverage and productivity.
Ensure all job-specific checklists are completed daily, accurately, and to standard.
Conduct detailed room and public area inspections to ensure all spaces meet or exceed Virgin Hotels cleanliness and presentation standards.
Oversee linen, amenities, and cleaning supply management, ensuring appropriate stock levels and cost control.
Ensure all housekeeping operations comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Guest Experience
Actively participate in and champion the Know program, ensuring guest profile information is accurate, relevant, and used to personalize each stay.
Ensure all guest requests, questions, and concerns are handled promptly, professionally, and followed through to completion.
Partner closely with Front Office and other departments to resolve issues quickly and deliver seamless, wow guest moments
Collaboration & Reporting
Work collaboratively with hotel leadership to support overall operational goals.
Monitor departmental performance, productivity, and quality metrics.
Contribute to budgeting, labor planning, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.

What qualities are we looking for?
Proven leadership experience in housekeeping, preferably in a lifestyle or luxury hotel environment.
Strong people management, training, and coaching skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and operational discipline.
A natural leader who embodies warmth, personality, and professionalism.
Passion for service excellence and creating memorable guest experiences.
Work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
Must-haves:
Current, legal and unrestricted ability to work in the United Kingdom.
High school or equivalent education required.
Minimum of four years of Housekeeping managerial experience.

Working experience in premium hospitality sector preferred.
Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests, management/co-workers, both in person and on the telephone.
