Klarent Hospitality are recruiting for a receptionist role at Hilton Edinburgh Carlton. We pride ourselves on rewarding hard work and recognising long service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide reception services for guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check‑in through check‑out.
  • Assist with and complete audits, as required.
  • Achieve positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure an efficient reception experience for guests, including check‑in/out, and complete audit procedures, as required.
  • Keep the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests or other departments.
  • Always demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Attend appropriate training courses when required, and be an integral part of the Day / Night Team’s training and development efforts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties.
  • Maximise room occupancy and use up‑selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
  • Use correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
  • Act in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front‑of‑house equipment and property management systems.
  • Follow company brand standards.
  • Assist other departments, as necessary.

Overlooking the Royal Mile, Hilton Edinburgh Carlton is a modern hotel in an imposing Victorian building located a 3‑minute walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station and a 9‑minute walk from Edinburgh Castle. Contemporary rooms come with work stations, TVs, mini‑fridges and free Wi‑Fi. Some rooms feature views over Arthur’s Seat. The hotel offers a grill restaurant, a chic bar, a fitness room and 7 meeting spaces, including a ballroom with city views and seating for up to 300.
