The RoleThe Linen Porter ensures that housekeeping and F&B departments are consistently supplied with high‑quality linen and terry products. Responsible for linen distribution, stock control, and upkeep of the linen room.
Key Responsibilities- Linen Management & Distribution
- Ensure clean linen and towels are readily available for housekeeping and F&B.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when supplies are needed.
- Assist in receiving, counting, and checking linen deliveries for quality and accuracy.
- Handle used linen and prepare it for laundry collection.
- Organisation & Cleanliness
- Maintain an organised and tidy linen room for easy access to materials.
- Apply proper storage procedures to prevent damage and contamination.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Guest Interaction & Customer Service
- Respond to guest requests for additional linen or special requirements promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a warm, friendly, and professional approach with guests and colleagues.
- Respect guest privacy when working in guest areas.
- Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping, laundry, and F&B teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate shortages, damages, or issues to the Linen Supervisor or Housekeeping Manager.
- Support colleagues with additional housekeeping duties as required.
- Compliance & Standards
- Follow company policies and procedures for handling, storage, and distribution of linen.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
