Manor Grange Care Home is a modern, purpose built home located in the heart of Corstorphine, Edinburgh, providing high quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite and Palliative care for up to 83 residents. Designed to offer comfort, dignity and independence, the home provides a welcoming environment where residents feel supported and valued.

• Contracted to 12 hours per week
• Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided
• Onsite parking
• 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract

The Role

As Hairdresser, you will provide professional hairdressing services that help residents look and feel their best while supporting their confidence, wellbeing and dignity.

You will offer a range of services including cutting, styling, washing and blow drying residents’ hair, ensuring every resident receives personalised attention and a comfortable salon experience. Building positive relationships with residents will be an important part of your role as you help them maintain their preferred style and routine.

You will maintain a clean, organised and welcoming salon space, ensuring all equipment and products are used safely and stored correctly. Working alongside the wider care team, you will help create an enjoyable and uplifting experience for residents while contributing to the warm atmosphere within the home.

Your role will play an important part in supporting residents’ wellbeing by promoting confidence, independence and social interaction.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in hairdressing or salon work
• Friendly and compassionate approach when working with older people
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with residents
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean salon environment
• Understanding of hygiene and health and safety practices
