Role Description

This is an on-site role based in Edinburgh for Senior Pharmacists or Advanced Nurse Prescribers. The role involves assessing patients' needs, delivering personalized care plans, prescribing medications, and providing expert guidance on treatment options. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the ongoing development and quality improvement of services. Effective communication with patients and team members is integral to the position.

Qualifications
  • Qualified and registered as a Senior Pharmacist or Advanced Nurse Prescriber with current accreditation.
  • Strong understanding of prescribing medications and pharmacological principles, with a focus on ADHD medications.
  • Experience in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient care within a mental health setting.
  • Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills for working with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to maintaining accurate documentation and adherence to clinical governance standards.
  • Ability to stay updated with advances in pharmacology and mental health care practices.
  • Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex clinical situations.
