Responsibilities- Support the development and provision of a specialist psychology service, including supervision of a team of psychologists and/or trainees and lead as the Psychology representative in designated specialist areas.
- Provide clinical supervision and support in relation to the psychological assessment, therapy and management provided by trainee psychologists, multi‑disciplinary clinicians and staff within the designated clinical area.
- Be responsible for providing psychology teaching, training, consultancy and supervision activities management within a governance structure.
- Undertake audit and research relevant to the service area.
- Be responsible for the management of a specialist caseload.
- Post holder must have a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme membership/record; if not a current member for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting.
- Demonstrate right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Depending on the role, a criminal record check may be required; if assessed as a regulated role, appointment will be subject to joining the PVG Scheme.
- Part‑time salary will be pro‑rata and working hours will correspondingly reduce.
This post is located within the Lothian CAMHS Tier 4 over 12 years Day Programme, based at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People.
As a part‑time role, the working week will be approximately 36 hours, with pay pro‑rated accordingly.
