As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

AboutThe Role
We are seeking a proactive Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team supporting the transformation of community pharmacy services. This is a unique post which will work across Community Pharmacy Development and Substance Use. This role offers opportunity to contribute to innovative public health initiatives, with a particular focus on digital projects, data analytics, and substance use services.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation and evaluation of digital tools and platforms across community pharmacy settings.
- Assist in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of pharmacy service data to inform service development and improvement.
- Contribute to substance use initiatives, including harm reduction, medication safety, training delivery and education.
- Collaborate with pharmacists, public health teams, and external partners to deliver impactful, evidence‑based services.
- Help design and disseminate digital resources, training materials, and patient‑facing communications and update internal and external community pharmacy webpages.
- Participate in audits, service reviews, and reporting activities to ensure service quality and compliance.
- GPhC Registered Pharmacy Technician with experience in community pharmacy or public health settings.
- HNC in Pharmacy Services Development and Management or ability to demonstrate equivalent skills and experience (should be evidenced within application). However, individuals who do not possess this qualification but can demonstrate equivalent professional experience may also be considered. In such instances, a Mapping Assessment Form must be completed and submitted as part of the application process.
