This is the first dedicated Health & Safety hire for the business, offering significant scope to shape, embed and evolve the function!

Health & Safety Manager
-The Details

Paying between £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
Company car or car allowance
Excellent perks and benefits Health & Safety Manager - Responsibilities & Requirements

Leading and developing the Health & Safety framework, policies and procedures
Assess existing Health & Safety practices, identifying gaps and prioritising improvements
Supporting operational teams working in high-risk environments, including confined spaces
Working closely with branch management to embed safety systems
Develop and manage H&S training programmes, including inductions and refresher training
Support and manage accident reporting, investigations and corrective actions
Lead internal audits and support external audits and accreditations
Contribute to ISO 9001 alignment and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong Health & Safety background within industrial, utilities, engineering, manufacturing, or similar environments
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and structured management systems
Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, balancing compliance with operational practicality Personable attributes

Must be approachable and pragmatic - Able to influence rather than enforce
Comfortable operating in a relaxed but accountable culture
Must be team-focused, flexible and reliable#
Some travel will be required - must have full driving licence
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are a must! About Us
