Division Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership hosted service. Base NHS Lothian Royal Edinburgh Hospital. Post Dietetic Support Worker. Grade Band
3. Hours 29.6 (0.8 WTE) up to 12 months temporary contract. Reference Dietetic Support Worker Band 3. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Dietetic Support Worker based within the REAS dietetic team. The post is covering maternity, which will start from January 2025.
The post holder will be involved in the review of patients with malnutrition within wards on the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and outlying areas such as Ferry field, Ellen’s Glenn and Findlay House. The post holder also has the opportunity to be part of a group with other AHPs educating patients on balanced eating.
In addition to seeing patients, the post holder will be required to maintain electronic patient records, data collection and undertake some administration duties to support the team. The dietitians within the team will delegate work and provide training and supervision to the post holder.
Responsibilities- Review patients with malnutrition within wards on the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and outlying areas (e.g., Ferry field, Ellen’s Glenn and Findlay House).
- Educate patients on balanced eating as part of a group with other AHPs.
- Maintain electronic patient records, collect data and undertake administration duties to support the team.
- Receive delegation, training and supervision from the dietitians within the team.
