What you will do:

• Validate and authorise clinical laboratory results, ensuring accuracy before issuing reports to clinicians.
• Interpret results from routine to complex tests, adding valuable insights.
• Communicate critical or urgent results directly to clinicians or nursing staff, escalating to more senior staff when necessary.
• Recommend and initiate further tests or actions, collaborating with senior staff or Consultants as required.
• Manage and prioritise your workload along with that of any trainees or support staff.

BMS requirements:

• Hold HCPC registration and possess a relevant qualification in biomedical science.
• Previous experience within the field of biomedical science is crucial to ensure competence and confidence in your duties.
