SPECIALIST PHARMACIST (EGPP)

Band 7 | 1.0 WTE | 37 hours | 12 months Fixed Term/Secondment

£50,861 – £59,159 per annum (includes weekend, late night and public holiday commitment)

Play a key role in delivering high-quality services within the GI, Renal, Liver, Transplant and Vascular (GIRLTV) pharmacy team.

• Work alongside the vascular surgery team, where pharmacists have an established non‑medical prescribing role.
• Work closely with members of the multidisciplinary teams to provide high‑quality patient care.
• Have valued input into the daily consultant‑led ward rounds.
• Work with the pharmacy team delivering clinical pharmacy services to GIRLTV specialties.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of the clinical pharmacy service in the face of emerging challenges around site capacity and patient flow.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist with a passion for delivering exceptional clinical care.

• Master of Pharmacy Degree (or equivalent).
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Completed training or equivalent competence mapped to the RPS Post‑Registration Foundation Pharmacist Curriculum.

• Experience in proactively influencing prescribing, using clinical knowledge to optimise patient care.
• A strong patient‑focused approach, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, enabling effective decision‑making in an acute medical setting.
• A proactive attitude, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
