Key Responsibilities Lead the Tax Compliance Team, supervising three assistants and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of all work. Review personal tax compliance across individuals, trusts, estates and charities, maintaining high technical standards. Provide clear, expert advice on tax returns, liabilities, claims and elections. Ensure all submissions to HMRC meet statutory deadlines through strong controls and efficient processes. Work closely with senior tax leaders to manage workflow and maintain a smooth compliance operation.
Oversee capital gains tax reporting for residential property transactions. Build strong client relationships, explaining complex issues simply and supporting clients through sensitive matters. Manage billing processes and ensure effective use of internal systems. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Support wider team initiatives, knowledge sharing and occasional business development. About You You will be a tax professional with strong personal tax compliance expertise, ideally gained within an accountancy practice, professional services firm or private client environment.
Essential Experience Recent tax compliance experience, ideally including trusts and estates. Experience advising clients on tax returns and tax liabilities. Familiarity with tax software and HMRC online systems. Strong organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience Experience managing or mentoring junior team members. Ability to build strong relationships with high-value private clients. Excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy.
