We’re currently supporting a leading Big 4 firm in the continued expansion of their Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting Centre of Excellence (CoE). You’ll be joining a business that works across assurance, consulting, tax, strategy and transactions, supported by advanced technology, strong sector insights and a diverse global network. The CoE is at the heart of delivering high‑quality, tech‑enabled tax compliance and reporting for some of the world’s largest organisations.
As a Manager within the Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting CoE, you will oversee multi‑country corporate tax reporting and provision engagements, supporting clients with global tax accounting under IFRS and US GAAP. You’ll be a key contributor to improving how tax reporting is delivered, helping design processes that are scalable, efficient and aligned with evolving regulatory frameworks. You’ll work closely with client tax functions, act as a hands‑on technical specialist, and build strong relationships across finance, tax and global delivery teams.
This role also offers exposure to emerging tax developments, including BEPS Pillar Two and other regulatory changes shaping the global tax landscape.
- Prepare and review quarterly, interim and year‑end global tax provisions under IFRS and/or US GAAP
- Support the creation of disclosures, technical analyses and reconciliations of GAAP differences
- Work with finance and tax teams across multiple jurisdictions to deliver high‑quality, timely reporting
- Maintain detailed provision documentation, work papers and memos
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements, including SOX
- Act as a primary client contact, providing clear communication and building trusted relationships.
- Identify opportunities to streamline tax provision and compliance processes
- Coordinate the preparation of tax account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Monitor the impact of new accounting standards and regulatory developments, including BEPS - Pillar Two
- Contribute to the standardisation and enhancement of global tax reporting processes
- Manage budgets, resources and delivery timelines across engagements.
- Support tax reporting aspects of M&A, including purchase accounting and integration
- Mentor and develop junior team members on ASC 740, IAS 12 and broader direct tax concepts
- Collaborate with global delivery teams to ensure seamless service across onshore and offshore locations
- Provide technical support, quality review and escalation handling where required
- Contribute to engagement strategy and connect clients with relevant specialists
- Strong experience in US GAAP and/or IFRS tax accounting
- Solid technical knowledge of ASC 740 and/or IAS 12
- Corporate income tax experience across multiple jurisdictions
- Proven ability to manage teams, delegate and provide coaching
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Highly organised, deadline‑driven and comfortable working in fast‑moving environments
- A proactive mindset with an interest in process improvement and operational excellence
- ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA, CPA or equivalent (or working toward qualification)
- Strong technical grounding in tax accounting frameworks
- Experience using tax accounting packages and strong Excel capability
- Experience servicing a portfolio of corporate tax clients
