About the RoleIn this role you will provide a high level of paraplanning support to Rathbones Financial Planners, demonstrating a clear ability to understand client needs and objectives, and devise appropriate advice solutions in line with the wider business objectives.

What you’ll be responsible for- Creating and delivering high quality, compliant and timely suitability reports for Financial Planners and Clients.
- Attend client meetings with Financial Planner (where appropriate) to assist with understanding client needs and produce associated meeting notes/documents for discussion with planner.
- Respond to client queries where appropriate to do so.
- Support the Financial Planner to manage and deliver the ongoing client service strategy.
- Prepare Annual Review documentation including cashflow modelling where appropriate.
- Proactively work with the Paraplanning Lead and team to deliver results.
- Ability to manage expectations and provide clear and realistic time frames
- Ensure a commercial and pragmatic approach to workflow management.
- Actively contribute to the success of the team through adoption and promotion of new practices, positive outlook and teamwork.
- Maintain effective working relationships with other teams within Rathbones.
- Maintain personal CPD log and ensure completion of all Group training requirements.
- Buddy/Mentor to new/trainee members of team, assist with training and development where appropriate

- Previous experience working in a Financial Planning firm as a Paraplanner
- CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Advice (Level
4) or equivalent - Client centric approach to work and excellent communication & organisational skills
- Excellent understanding of the advice process and capable of confidently identifying appropriate solutions for clients across full range of planning areas.
- Able to analyse features, benefits and risks of products/policies, and make recommendations to clients with confidence
- Excellent understanding of risk and governance frameworks (internal & external) and the regulatory environment.
- Excellent numeracy, MS Office Systems and report writing skills including Power Point
- Excellent knowledge of business systems e.g.. Xplan or similar
