Meraki Talent are exclusively supporting with the appointment of a permanent Finance Business Partner in Edinburgh with strong hybrid working paying £50,000 - £55,000 + bonus.

Progression/Development

The hiring manager is approaching this appointment with a strong focus on progression and development, viewing the role as part of a longer-term succession plan within the finance team. As such, the opportunity is well suited to an individual with the capability and ambition to progress into a Senior Finance Business Partner position over the coming years

The Role

The Finance Business Partner role offers a well-balanced remit, combining robust month/year-end and core financial disciplines with value-adding, forward-looking finance. The position plays a key role in influencing strategic direction, commercial decision-making and business performance. The report will report into an excellent Finance Manager, and work alongside a fantastic Senior Finance Business Partner providing two brilliant mentor figures.

The key components will include:

Value-add/Commercial Finance

• Finance business partnering with senior and non-financial stakeholders to influence strategy, direction and decision making
• Presentation of monthly reporting packs - KPI's, variance analysis, OPEX/CAPEX, investment appraisal
• Budgeting, forecasting & cashflow analysis

Monthly/year-end:

• Feeding into robust month/year-end close
• Supporting with annual audits
• Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems

What You'll Bring

• Qualified Accountant - ESSENTIAL
• Qualified in an Accountancy Firm/Practice & seeking 1st move into industry
• Must have facilitated a commercial & industry/commercial sector portfolio (NOT FINANCIAL SERVICES)
• Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
