About The Mid-Markets Team: our Mid-Markets team supports privately owned businesses and works with over 13,000 in the UK. You will be part of a dynamic team serving startups to international groups.

About

The Role

As an apprentice here is what will await you during your four-year training contract:

Years 1 And 2
  • Master the art of auditing: learn to prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies.
  • Financial statements: develop understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
  • Work side by side with clients: work directly with a variety of diverse companies to understand their operations and challenges.
  • Build relationships: connect with stakeholders inside clients and across service lines; gather information and build professional relationships.
Years 3 And 4

As you progress, you’ll take on increasingly complex audit work, such as revenue recognition, valuation, and risk assessments. You’ll take ownership of audit engagements and mentor junior team members. You’ll join as a permanent employee; the four years are the beginning of your career at Forvis Mazars.

Who We re Looking For
  • On track or have obtained A-level, BTEC or equivalent qualifications; strong academics but we consider the whole candidate including other experiences.
  • Curious, with a desire to learn and think critically.
  • Commitment to self-development and learning; ownership and responsibility.
  • Strong work ethic, willingness to travel, and adaptable to flexible working.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
Learning and development

Fully funded professional qualification for this role: ICAS. Our culture includes coaching, mentorship, and one-on-one guidance, with time off to study and blended training (in person and virtual).
