EHS Specialist

Our global technology client with an advanced engineering and laboratory environment is looking to appoint an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to support its Edinburgh site.

Working closely with the global EHS leadership team, this role will provide practical EHS guidance across laboratory and engineering activities, helping ensure the site maintains the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance and operational best practice.

This is a hands‑on, stand‑alone role suited to someone who enjoys working directly with engineers and technical teams to solve problems and drive continuous improvement.

• Lead EHS inspections, risk reviews and site walkthroughs
• Support incident and near‑miss investigations and ensure effective corrective actions
• Act as a technical resource for laboratory safety, electrical safety and risk management
• Support contractor safety and environmental compliance activities
• Assist with audits and ISO 14001 related activities
• Deliver EHS training and promote a strong safety culture across the site

• Experience in an EHS / Health & Safety role within engineering, manufacturing, laboratory or high‑tech environments
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation
• Comfortable engaging with engineers and technical teams to implement practical safety solutions
• Experience supporting audits and environmental compliance programmes
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent preferred
• IOSH membership or working towards membership beneficial
