We passionately believe that Building Physics and Building Performance modelling is an integrated part of the building services design process.
Responsibilities- Assist with the production of energy strategies for planning applications (including GLA) carrying out Part L compliance assessments using IESVE or SAP.
- Help model operational energy use within buildings to limit the energy performance gap, including accreditation with NABERS UK.
- Understand and incorporate industry specific assessment methodologies and guidelines.
- Be able to work using your own initiative with supervision.
- Demonstrate good attention to detail and show pride in the work produced.
- Have an ability to present your work succinctly to others to inspire the confidence of design teams and clients and then use this to strengthen internal and external relationships.
- Have a keen interest in or experience using digital and parametric design tools. We seek engineers that fit with our culture and have an interest or experience in working digitally by coding using Rhino/Grasshopper and relevant programming languages.
- Being a recent (no earlier than 2025) graduate of an appropriate engineering degree.
- Have proven experience throughout studies in all aspects of building physics including building energy modelling and compliance analysis using IESVE or SAP.
- Have a good knowledge of passive design LZC technologies and net zero and use this to influence all aspects of building design.
- Having a CIBSE / IET / IMechE Engineering Council accredited honours degree.
