New year, new job. Are you a Senior Hydrologist looking to take ownership of flood risk and drainage projects while remaining part of a supportive, technically strong team? This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy where your expertise will directly influence project delivery and client outcomes.

You will be based in the Edinburgh office, working closely with a local team while contributing to projects across Scotland and the wider UK. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of public and private sector developments, providing flood risk, drainage and water environment input wherever clients require support, all within a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

As a Senior Hydrologist, you will lead technical delivery while supporting team development and client engagement.

• Leading Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• Providing technical input to modelling and sustainable drainage solutions
• Working closely with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders
• Ensuring compliance with legislation, standards and best practice
• Mentoring junior staff on technical and project delivery matters
• Supporting tenders, fee proposals and business development activity

This role suits a capable Senior Hydrologist ready to progress.

• A degree in hydrology, hydrogeology, civil or environmental engineering
• 3 to 5 years’ post-qualification experience in flood risk or drainage
• Chartered status or progression toward it
• Experience using FEH, Flood Modeller, HEC‑RAS, Causeway Flow and AutoCAD
• Strong communication and leadership skills
