Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will take an active role across all stages of projects, delivering cost intelligence services. You will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team on high‑profile projects.
Responsibilities- Support and deliver commissions in efficiencies and value identification, assurance, continuous improvement, construction economics research & analysis, and general cost intelligence services.
- Develop cost models, estimates, business cases, cost‑benefit analyses, and business models.
- Conduct statistical analysis to support benchmarking and efficiency exercises.
- Identify cost‑reduction opportunities through benchmarking and efficiency exercises.
- Create data‑driven solutions using client and industry datasets.
- Collaborate with leadership to mature and develop service offerings.
- Assist senior management with technical and financial proposals.
- Manage complex assignments through project and financial controls.
- Maintain high‑quality professional outputs.
- Technical writing and presentation skills.
- Problem‑solving and developing novel solutions.
- Experience or qualification in cost modelling, cost estimation, business case development, cost‑benefit analysis or statistical analysis.
- Knowledge and interest in the infrastructure sector.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Optional coding knowledge (Python, R).
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Database development knowledge.
- Stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Consultancy or relevant contract experience.
- Experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Defence experience advantageous.
- Commitment to deadlines.
- Attention to quality and accuracy.
- Ability to produce auditable outputs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM discipline (min 2:2).
- Member of relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, APM, Controls & Skills Authority).
