Academics is recruiting Supply Teachers to support a network of secondary schools across Cheshire West & East, including Northwich, Sandbach and Crewe. We are looking for teachers who want flexible work that fits around their lifestyle — whether that’s day-to-day supply or longer-term placements.

This role is ideal for teachers who want the freedom of teaching without the added pressure of planning and marking.

• Deliver pre-planned lessons (general cover or subject-specific)
• Provide general classroom cover across different subjects when required
• Maintain positive behaviour and a focused learning environment
• Adapt confidently to different schools and classroom settings
• No planning or marking required for day-to-day supply

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) in any secondary subject
• Flexibility to deliver general cover (subject-specialist opportunities also available)
• Strong classroom management and a professional, positive approach
• Confident, reliable, and adaptable practitioners

• Competitive daily rates: £150–£160 for day-to-day supply, with higher rates available for longer-term placements (paid weekly)
• Flexibility to choose when and where you work
• Opportunities in a range of schools local to Northwich
• No planning or marking for day-to-day assignments
• Support from dedicated consultants who match work to your preferences
• Referral scheme:
  Earn up to £125 for referring a friend or former colleague who are also wanting a change
