Early Years Practitioner - fixed term until 29/01/2027 at Corstorphine Primary School Nursery
Salary: £29,173 - £33,287 (pro rata for part-time).
Hours:
21.6 per week, 52 weeks sessional.
Week 1:
Mon 7:45am to 3:27pm, Tue 7:45am to 3:27pm and Wed 10:18am to 6pm, each with a 30 minute unpaid break.
Week 2:
Mon 10:18am to 6pm, Tue 7:45am to 3:27pm and Wed 10:18am to 6pm, each with a 30 minute unpaid break.
The successful candidate will either have an HNC in Childcare and Education or an SVQ Level 3 or Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7.
About the SchoolCorstorphine Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and resilient Early Years Practitioner to join our nurturing Early Years and Early Level team. Corstorphine Primary School enjoys extensive links with the cluster schools and the local, wider community.
Vision and facilities:
The school has separate rooms for music, drama, Support for Learning and English as an Additional Language, a hall for Physical Education and Assemblies, and a library.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
