Graduate Support Assistant

Graduate Teaching Assistant - Full Time, Primary School

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join one of our partner primary schools in North Tyneside. This full-time role is perfect for recent graduates or those with relevant degree backgrounds who want to make a difference in children's learning and development. We welcome applicants from Psychology, Sports Science, English, Mathematics, or other related fields.

• Supporting pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2
• Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
• Providing one-to-one and small group interventions (literacy, numeracy, social skills)
• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development
• Assisting with planning, preparation and assessment activities
• Supporting extracurricular activities such as sports, reading clubs or enrichment sessions

• Hold a minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree (or equivalent)
• Have a genuine passion for working with children aged 4-11
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Are proactive, adaptable and resilient
• Have experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
• Are considering teacher training, educational psychology or school-based careers
