Various, 39 weeks sessional
Post 1 – Permanent: 21 hours per week, Mon‑Thurs 08:45‑13:30, Fri 08:45‑12:00
Post 2 – Fixed Term Contract to 26th June 2026: 20 hours per week, Mon‑Thurs 08:45‑13:15, Fri 08:45‑12:00

About the RoleWe are seeking two enthusiastic and Pupil Support Assistants to join our creative and supportive staff team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a caring school community that values teamwork, professional learning and wellbeing. You will be supported to grow as a practitioner while helping children develop the skills, confidence and attitudes they need for lifelong learning.
Regulated work with children:
The position requires membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Scheme or a recent update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more overseas in the last 5 years, an overseas criminal record check will also be required. Offer of employment and commencement are conditional on satisfactory pre‑employment checks.
Support pupils in the day‑to‑day learning environment, assist teachers with classroom activities, and help children develop the skills, confidence and attitudes essential for lifelong learning.
Qualifications & Requirements• Membership of the PVG Scheme (or recent update check) and an up‑to‑date background check as required by the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
• Demonstrated ability to work with children and support learning in a primary school setting.
