Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Edinburgh office 2 days per week for this position.

A chance to thrive: We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our Design team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to put Customers at the heart of your design work, helping shape intuitive and inclusive experiences.

You’ll own design assignments end-to-end from discovery to delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams, applying user-centred design and turning research insights into actionable opportunities. you’ll collaborate with an experienced team of UX and Service Designers, where you’ll have the chance to grow your skills while creating exceptional experiences that truly make a difference for millions of customers.

Responsibilities
  • Designing for a key product domain, shaping experiences that meet customer needs, accessibility standards and business goals.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams you’ll foster relationships with stakeholders such as engineering whilst championing the customer.
  • Structuring design work within Agile so discovery and delivery flow seamlessly.
  • Owning research from start to finish; moderating sessions, synthesising findings, and using storytelling to turn these insights into opportunities that influence business stakeholders.
  • Elevating design quality by embedding CX Standards and Inclusive Design in everything you do.
  • Using Figma to craft exceptional experiences, organising files for clarity, embedding our design system throughout, and documenting and QA’ing work with precision so the team can deliver confidently.
  • Contributing to a team culture built on craft, collaboration, and innovation.
What you’ll need to have
  • Strong UX and customer research experience, demonstrating a proven ability to uncover deep insights and translate them into impactful design solutions, with a strong passion for your craft.
  • Track record of delivering accessible, inclusive design that drives measurable customer and business impact, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and best practices
  • Extensive experience collaborating in cross-functional teams, influencing and aligning stakeholders across design, engineering, and product to deliver high-quality experiences.
  • Comprehensive experience working with end-to-end customer journeys, connecting interactions across channels and services to deliver a cohesive experience.
  • Depth of experience testing and iterating at pace with real customers, creating measurable experiments, and champion evidence based decisions.
Nice-to-have
  • Deep understanding of customer research methods.
  • Familiarity with analytics, defining success metrics, and measuring impact of design change.
  • Track record of championing design in an AGILE environment.
