Salary: £28,000 per annum plus Bonus

We're looking for an Event Designer to play a pivotal role in the planning, pricing, and smooth delivery of events across our iconic Edinburgh venues - including the world famous Edinburgh Zoo.

The Opportunity

As our new Event Designer, you'll ensure every event is meticulously planned, commercially sound, and executed to the highest standards. You'll act as a key point of contact for clients, work closely with operational teams, and help drive profitability through creative event design and effective planning.

This role blends creativity, commercial awareness, client engagement, and hands‑on teamwork.

What You’ll Do
  • Price and design events to meet profitability targets
  • Support achievement of annual venue hire and hospitality budgets
  • Lead or support venue site visits for potential clients
  • Manage small to medium sized events independently
  • Ensure all event details are accurately recorded and communicated across teams
  • Conduct client tastings and deliver exceptional service throughout the planning process
  • Prepare and manage client contracts, invoicing, and prepayments
  • Utilise Priava and Event Wizard for event management and reporting
  • Work flexibly as part of the Operations team as business needs evolve
  • Build strong relationships with venue partners and internal teams
  • Be an ambassador of Heritage Portfolio's values in all interactions
