We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager for ongoing small works projects within a university framework in the Edinburgh area. This is an excellent opportunity for consistent, long‑term freelance work overseeing multiple live projects across a busy campus environment.
Role Overview- Managing multiple small works projects simultaneously
- Overseeing day‑to‑day site operations
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring programme deadlines are met
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site compliance
- Liaising with client representatives within a live university environment
- Ensuring quality control and smooth project delivery
- Joinery background (essential)
- SMSTS (essential)
- CSCS Card (essential)
- First Aid at Work (essential)
- Proven experience managing small works or refurbishment projects
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience working in live environments (education sector preferred)
- Ongoing freelance work
- Projects within a well‑established university framework
- Competitive day rate
