Clerk of Works / Asset Manager - Capital Projects
• Edinburgh
• Circa £40,000 - £48,000 (DOE)
• Full-time | Temporary or Permanent

We are working with a respected housing organisation who are delivering a growing capital investment programme and are looking to appoint a Clerk of Works / Asset Manager to support the delivery of projects across their portfolio.

This is a key role providing independent technical oversight of capital works, ensuring projects are delivered to the required standards, on time and within budget.

You will act as the organisation's on-site representative, providing quality assurance and holding contractors and consultants to account.

• Inspecting works on site to ensure quality and compliance
• Monitoring progress against programme and specifications
• Identifying defects, risks and non-compliance
• Attending site and project meetings with contractors and consultants
• Reviewing contractor payments and variations
• Supporting cost control and budget monitoring
• Maintaining detailed inspection records and reports

• Experience in a Clerk of Works, Site Manager, Technical Officer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and building regulations
• Experience overseeing contractors on capital projects
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Good understanding of cost control and project delivery
• Confident communicator, able to challenge where required
• Experience with in social housing or public sector projects would be advantageous.
