Construction Sub Agent, Site Manager

We are looking for an experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery of a road improvement scheme in Edinburgh. The role will be focused on enabling works and road widening, working closely with the Site Agent and project team to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme.

This is a site-based role for an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting in the day-to-day management of site operations

* Managing enabling works and road widening activities

* Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour

* Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme

* Supporting the implementation and monitoring of health & safety on site

* Assisting with RAMS, permits, and site documentation

* Liaising with the client, local authority, and design teams as required

Requirements

* Proven experience as a Sub Agent or similar role on highways or road improvement projects

* Experience with enabling works and road widening schemes

* CSCS (essential)

* SMSTS or SSSTS (essential)

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment
