We're looking for a Trainee Information Governance Officer to join our expanding team. This role represents an excellent opportunity to train for a professional career in the public sector. You will assist in the delivery of high‑quality services to our clients and undertake training to become a public‑sector information governance specialist. A full medical questionnaire and DBS check are required.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the delivery of information governance services to local authority and school clients.
- Support training and development to become a specialist in information governance.
- Contribute to risk management and compliance initiatives.
- Attend client meetings and training events as required.
Veritau provides assurance services to local authorities, schools and other public‑sector clients, helping them to operate effectively, mitigate risks and comply with laws and regulations. Our main services include internal audit, counter‑fraud, information governance and risk management. We are owned by our member councils, so our work sits at the heart of the public sector.

Flexible – you can work from any of our offices or adopt a hybrid working approach. You may be required to attend our offices for meetings and training events, visit client offices or other premises, and undertake other client‑related activities. During induction, you will be expected to work in one of our main offices for a number of days to support training and learning.
