We have an incredible opportunity to join us here at Phoenix Group as a Sustainability Associate to join our Central Sustainability team.
Job DetailsJob Type: Fixed Term Contract (six months)
Location: This role could be based in either our London or Edinburgh offices with time spent working in the office and at home.

Salary and benefits: Up to £46,000 (pro rata for the duration of the secondment) based on experience plus an indicative bonus range of 8-16%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

The RoleThis role will support the delivery of key elements of our sustainability strategy and contribute to high-priority work across the team. You will work closely with the Senior Sustainability Manager and wider colleagues to provide high-quality analysis, coordination, and insight that help us advance the Group’s sustainability objectives.
This secondment offers broad exposure to the full breadth of our sustainability strategy and an opportunity to contribute to projects that support the Group’s long-term success. As part of the wider Corporate Affairs and Brand function, the Central Sustainability team is collaborative, high-performing, and diverse. The role provides an excellent development opportunity for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of sustainability, build cross-functional networks, and strengthen skills in project delivery and stakeholder management.
Whatare we looking for
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to tailor style and messaging to a range of audiences
- Ability to deliver across boundaries and through others using influence
- Strong knowledge of Phoenix’s business structure and strategy
- A keen interest in sustainability and working knowledge of a variety of sustainability themes
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Strong presentation skills across Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, with high attention to detail
- The ability to plan and project-manage multi-stakeholder work streams effectively
- Financial services experience ideal
