Position: Project-Manager_
Location: City of Edinburgh

Reporting to the Operations Support Director, this is a critical role to ensuring that all Projects within a defined Strategic Programme of work are appropriately identified, analysed, scoped, prioritised, planned and delivered in line with the stated cost/ benefit. Adhering to the G4S Way methodology, this role requires the successful candidate to apply critical thinking, challenge the norm, be innovative, be analytical, practically develop programme plans and deliver s is an output focused role that delivers to SSUKI strategy and business plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with the Project Champion/ Sponsor to identify initiatives and produce the business case
  • Translate complex situations into practical action plans
  • Define the technical aspects required to deliver projects (Scope/ Resources/ Work breakdown structure/ Timelines/ Budget/ Key outputs)
  • Define Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to track project delivery
  • Identify, prioritise and act upon the urgent and important issues
  • Identify project risks, prepare and deliver risk mitigation plans
  • Identify and escalation project issues
  • Conduct data and trend analysis (where required)
  • Deliver complex projects as per the G4S Way methodology on time, on budget and at pace
  • Manage and motivate the Project Team to ensure successful delivery
  • Prepare documents for review at project boards
  • Confidently challenge the norm including at an executive level to improve business performance
  • Generate ideas & inject innovation based on prior experience
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organisation
  • Influence at all levels to gain buy in and commitment to change
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrable experience of creating and implementing business strategies to drive business improvement
  • Experience of contributing to business strategy as a member of a Senior Management team
  • Experience of bid solutioning and mobilisations / integration
  • Strong stakeholder management skills at senior level
  • Knowledge of streamlining workflows or making process improvements
  • Influencing skills
  • Coaching skills
  • Flexible and adaptable and able to work in a fast paced and constantly evolving work environment
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to manage resistance to change
  • Numerical and analytical skills with a natural curiosity to challenge the status quo and innovate systems and processes
  • Highly motivated and determined, with the ability to be resilient and confident with all client groups
  • Driving license and willingness to travel nationally when demand requires
