We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated corporate receptionist to take full ownership of the front of house reception service at a fabulous office in Edinburgh. The building is a 10 minute walk from Haymarket train station. We’re looking for someone with a collaborative mindset, keen attention to detail, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
With creativity and drive, you’ll also bring energy to the role by producing engaging newsletters and organising vibrant pop-up events in partnership with local businesses — all designed to enrich the day-to-day experience for those working in the building.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8am – 6pm
Salary: £34,970
Key Responsibilities Reception- You will set up, manage and take ownership of the reception area to ensure the ambiance reflects visitor and tenant expectations
- Welcome all visitors with genuine enthusiasm — you're the face and personality of the building
- Handle incoming calls, post, and courier services with efficiency and professionalism
- Develop a local amenities information file, drawing on your knowledge of the local area
- Producing weekly / monthly update reports for key stakeholders
- Build and maintain effective relationships with tenants, contractors, and key stakeholders, including the Building Management Team
- Schedule and oversee contractor visits, ensuring all works are carried out in line with building management requirements
- Assist with the management of building documentation, service records, and reports, ensuring accuracy and timely updates to the Building Management system
- Daily site check, ensuring all is in order
- Logging/reporting issues, seeing through to resolution
- Collaborate with the Building Management Team to review and update policies and procedures, ensuring they remain current and effective
- Maintain a well-presented gym space that reflects the high standards of the property
- Assist with any other reasonable requests from the Building Management team
- Develop and introduce seasonal events to engage with local businesses, with the aim creating a sense of community in the building
- Introduce a monthly e-newsletter promoting initiatives and concierge services
- Connect with local charities and new businesses to promote meaningful partnerships
- Proven experience in a front of house reception role and are ready for a new challenge
- Naturally warm, confident, and proactive — customer service is second nature to you
- Highly organised and self-motivated, with a passion for multitasking in a dynamic environment
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and familiar with social media tools and Canva for simple design tasks
