Assistant Accountant

Overview

Vertu Hyundai Edinburgh – An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team at Vertu Hyundai Edinburgh. You ll work closely with our Accountant across both of our Hyundai sites in Edinburgh, with the flexibility to be based at either our Sighthill or Seafield dealership.

This is a Full-Time, permanent role where we are offering a basic salary between £28,000 and £30,000 depending on experience plus an excellent range of company benefits.

• Work alongside the accountant in the production of spreadsheets and statistical data to support the management team, and as an aid to business decisions.
• Forecasts
• Estimates
• Assist with the production of the Management Accounts
• Payroll
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Accruals and Prepayments
• Cash Flow
• Reconciling Manufacturer Bonuses
• Credit Control

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Assistant Accountant, who is looking to take the next step up. A working knowledge of the Kerridge accounting system would be ideal but not essential, as well as previous Motor Trade experience. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with all financial and non-financial colleagues, clients and customers.
