Retail Sales Associate

We are currently looking for the right Full-Time Retail Sales Associate to join our Team!

$10.75 to $13.00 per hour

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and assisting customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions, and resolving customer inquiries and problems.

The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The full-time position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. Actual pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandised.
• Process sales and loan transactions per policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers and collaborate to deliver a positive customer experience.
• Complete required training and other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods; ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified (where applicable).
• Minimum Age: 18 years old;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic math proficiency.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
• Proficiency with POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process.
