Minimum Requirements
- High School graduate or GED.
- Preferred one (1) year experience as a Cook in a state institution or large commercial food service establishment.
- Must be able to obtain a health certificate.
- Must possess good communication skills - verbal and written.
- Regular and timely attendance is a must; must be willing to work flexible schedule as needed with occasion weekends and a rotating shift.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Must possess the ability to set-up monthly menus and prepare daily production sheets.
- Must possess a valid drivers license and proof of liability insurance.
- Prefer experience in working with disadvantaged or underprivileged individuals.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Must have not ever been convicted of or placed on court-ordered community supervision or probation for any criminal offense classified as a Class B misdemeanor or higher.
NOTE: Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, this is a non-exempt position.
