* SUMMARY:

** The Refrigeration Operator 3rd shift uses their hands-on knowledge of ammonia refrigeration and experience working with industrial refrigeration components to accomplish preventative and predictive maintenance tasks of the refrigeration department of the assigned facility**.
** Assist with Boiler and steam system maintenance.
** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
** include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration equipment, such as compressors, ammonia pumps condensing towers, etc.
* Full understanding of the refrigeration cycle
* Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and assigned work orders
* Perform troubleshooting activities, as necessary.
* Performs quality checks as required by position and/or product at assigned facility
* Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
** SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
** This position will not have supervisory responsibility.
** EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
* ** Required**  + High school or equivalent AND 5+ years of experience in Refrigeration, Maintenance, or similar skill set  + Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA) membership w/Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO) or ability to obtain.  + Ammonia Refrigeration (2 stage system)  + Able to pass and maintain state High Pressure Steam Boiler License  + Process Safety Management (PSM) understanding  + Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record  + Speak, read & write fluently in English
* ** Preferred**  + Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard (HAZWOPER) certification  + Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to handle multiple projects at one time
